A quick lunch on the Thames today. Meeting for a quick lunch today Thameside. The weather is gorgeous so what better than to sit by the river watching the boats go by.

We’re lunching on the balcony right over the river at a great pub called The Samuel Pepys. Tucked down a side street in the City and directly on the Thames we watch the seagulls and the tourist boats go by. Situated directly opposite the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern, what a great view. It’s a perfect day but as I’m out for dinner later just a light lunch for me, fat and crispy whitebait will do, while Hugo opts for the Teriyaki chicken burger, fat and juicy with hand cut chips (inspiring me to make my chicken burger recipe soon!). The home made pizzas look good too and the atmosphere is great on a perfect sunny afternoon. A glass of prosecco. Or a glass of beer. What could be better!
